GIVING AT MAROONDAH CITY CHURCH

The generous giving of Christians at Maroondah City Church is what enables us to extend the reach of the Gospel to the community and city around us. Our philosophy is give to give, as opposed to give to get. And our giving is not just measured in dollars and cents, but includes the countless hours of volunteer work freely offered by the Maroondah City Church family.

Our church is currently in an exciting season of rebuilding and renewal. Outlined below are three areas of financial giving that you can be involved in. All financial giving at Maroondah City Church is freewill and voluntary - nobody is forced to give. As the Bible says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7). 

Tithes & Offerings

The Bible teaches us that the regular practice of tithing (10% of your income) is a beautiful expression of worship. The consistent receiving of tithes and offerings funds the vision and ongoing activities of the church; and 10% of all that's received goes to the Missions program of the church.

Heart for the World

10% of our tithes and offerings goes to Missions, and once a year we receive a special offering that extends and strengthens our Missions reach. This special offering, called “Heart for the World”, helps strengthen our financial commitments to the overseas field workers and church plants we support.

Miracle Offering

Every year, we stretch our faith in the area of giving - generously and sacrificially giving our best financial gift as an act of worship. Our heart is to see the work of God through our church move forward with great momentum, and for our generosity to overflow in many expressions of thanks to Him.
