Maroondah City Church had its beginnings in 1988 when it was Reach Out Christian Centre, a church independent of any denominational affiliation. What started as 10 people meeting in a home, soon grew to a congregation of 40 in a school hall. As Reach Out Christian Centre grew in number and faith they sought to purchase a property of their own to hold their services.
They bought the chicken farm at 320-340 Wonga Road Warranwood. Much work was required to convert a chicken farm into a Church! But they were up for the task.
There were countless working bees as members of Reach Out Christian Centre gave sacrificially of their time and resources.
In 1998 Maroondah City Church joined with Reach Out Christian Centre. It was originally located in Ringwood and was a thriving Assembly of God Church. It was agreed that the name would be Maroondah City Church. ....
